Silvia and her family’s journey with MIAMI IS KIND has always been deeply personal. After relocating to Miami to provide better opportunities for her son, Marc, who is on the autism spectrum, Silvia founded MIAMI IS KIND to create job opportunities for individuals with Autism & Abilities. Marc, now a young adult, still delights in walks, dancing to Michael Jackson, and listening to music while driving around Miami. With the support of countless kind people in the community, Marc has found his place, and Silvia remains profoundly grateful to this city and country for their kindness.
However, life brought changes. In 2019, Silvia’s husband was relocated to San Diego, CA, necessitating a family move. Although brave volunteers continued the MIAMI IS KIND Program, the absence of Silvia’s leadership made it challenging to sustain. The Covid-19 pandemic further impacted the program, leading to its temporary shutdown.

Autism Coach for Parents
Silvia has helped parents or caregivers of children of any age or background since 2014. She listens carefully to the opportunities for improvement the caregivers want to achieve for their loved ones, or the struggles they are stuck with and comes up with powerful solutions tailor made for each caregiver.
From an IEP, to a transition to a Group Home, to getting the Services you need, to any other challenging milestone Silvia will become your partner and mentor to help you move forward and have much more chances to succeed and achieve what is best for your child.
